FOTO meets at Twin Oaks Park on the first Friday and Saturday of each month.
Some like to arrive a day or two earlier. Reservations are never needed nor accepted.
Fellowshipping is the primary reason for FOTO. There is always plenty of good-hearted laughter and companionship.
Playing Bluegrass music is another good reason to gather. There are always jam sessions at each FOTO.
While we’re certainly not an overly rowdy bunch, there is no set quiet time.
Sometimes a few members enjoy friendly card games or other activities.
You don't necessarily have to play an instrument to enjoy FOTO. You only need to be a kind person. Grouches are encouraged to stay home.
Our photo slide show should give you a fairly good idea of what we're all about... Eating, playing music and laughing.
Our goal is to have some fun while we are able.
The legendary FOTO meals:
Friday - 5:00 pm - A so-called "light" supper provided by your previous cash donations. You only need to bring your appetite.
Saturday - 10:00 am - Breakfast. We'll start cooking around 8:30-9:00. Bring what you have to share with the group. Cooks and clean-up volunteers are welcome.
Saturday - 5:00 pm - Covered dish supper. Twin Oaks Park provides the main meat dish. Everyone should bring a dish or dessert of your choosing so that no one at FOTO ever goes away hungry.
If you are unable to cook for dinner, store-bought desserts, deli dishes, breads or any other items are welcomed additions.
Hot coffee, iced tea (at dinner), plates, cups and tableware are all provided by FOTO with your cash donations.
The Little Red Donation Can is available near the serving line.
Your generousity is appreciated and used only for supplies and items to improve FOTO.
No one is financially profitting from your donations.
See www.twinoakspark.com for a listing of their Bluegrass festivals, events and information about the park.
